Copresco
has added an Imagerunner 150 to our fleet of digital presses.
We now operate five Imagerunner systems, which are
products of Kodak and distributed by Canon.
“The new system increases our production capacity for
books and manuals by 35% and further expands our capabilities to handle
multiple high volume, fast-turnaround jobs,” says Copresco president Steve
Johnson.

“Our business has been very good, our production volume continues to grow, and we have developed an excellent relationship with Canon. That makes the 150 a perfect fit to help us maintain our guarantee to deliver 250,000 black & white impressions the next business day for each customer,” Steve explains.
The
Imagerunners replaced
five Xerox docutechs previously used by Copresco.
The conversion was made after extensive testing and
evaluation concluded that the digital press offered far better
registration, richer text and solids as well as a wider selection of
coated and uncoated papers.
The
newest installation not only features the increased firepower that
Copresco is famous for. It also includes more powerful Raster Image
Processing capabilities that your work demands.
"Our customers come to Copresco in part because of
their sophisticated needs," Steve says.
"Our clients' work includes detailed high-resolution
images and often variable information. This results in large, complex
print files that not everyone can successfully image. Upgrades to the
front end of our workflow are as crucial as the increased production
capacity."
Copresco has also upgraded its four existing
Imagerunners so that their performance is more on a par with the newest
installation.
“As we
have done with the docutech, our production staff is also finding new
ways to improve the image quality, accuracy and efficiency of the
Imagerunner,” Steve states.
“We will continue these innovative programs in the
future in the pursuit of excellence for all of our black & white
and digital color work.”
It is this commitment that sets Copresco apart from
others in our field and the reason why we receive so many awards for
digital printing excellence and accolades for our technological
leadership.
