Copresco has shared an Achievement
in Print Excellence Award from
the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association with its
collaborators on the digital printing project.
Copresco won the Best of Category Pinnacle award for
a digitally
printed four-color memorial book. The AIPX awards demonstrate the high
standards of the printing industry in the Illinois/Indiana region.
Since the AIPX program began in 2003, Copresco has won seven
achievement awards, including four Pinnacle awards.
A North Carolina State Senator as a pictorial tribute to his late
wife conceived the hardcover memorial book. Controlling color was a
special challenge to Copresco’s production staff due to the large
number of photos to be reproduced from decades-old family snapshots.
Digital printing was the economical imperative for the short-run job of
just 25 copies.
Steve Johnson, president of Copresco, presented award plaques for
the project to Trevor Kräcker of Highet
Kräcker Design,
Lumberton, North Carolina and Bob Goodman of Harris Bookbinding,
Chicago, Illinois. Highet Kräcker was the creator and graphic
designer of the memorial book. Harris was responsible for case binding
the volume.
Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications,
