More Awards for Publication Excellence

Copresco has won two APEX 2004 Awards for Publication Excellence from Communications Concepts.

The digital printer’s practical and user-friendly www.copresco.com site was a winner in the web category for the sixth consecutive year. An article written for American Printer magazine by Copresco president Steve Johnson on factors affecting digital paper quality received an award of excellence for education and training writing.

Since 1998 when Copresco began entering the APEX competition, the company has won 15 Awards of Excellence, including three Grand Awards.

“As printers we are in the information business and must remain leaders in customer communication,” Johnson says. “At Copresco, we are constantly working to improve and expand our various publication and web-based programs. Significant changes will be made to our website this year to provide easier access and navigation for customers and site visitors. A vastly upgraded FTP interface has already make the uploading of digital print files as simple and painless as possible, without sacrificing accuracy or reliability,” Johnson concluded.

Awards in the annual APEX competition for communications professionals are based on excellence in editorial content, graphic design and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. Judges consider the quality of creative ideas and concepts displayed rather than the expenses involved in producing the entries. Nearly 5,500 entries were received in 2004.

Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications, books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade, technical and institutional fields. The company is headquartered in the Chicago area.
