Copresco Receives Three More Achievement In Print Excellence Awards

Copresco has received three Achievement in Print Excellence Awards for digital printing from the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association.

The Chicago area firm won Best of Category Pinnacle awards for a four-color memorial book and a financial conference events and activities book, and picked up an Award of Excellence for a government agency pictorial guide.

"Your work demonstrates the high quality standards of the printing industry in our two-state region," says Joanne Rock, interim president of the graphic arts trade association.

Since the AIPX program began in 2003, Copresco has won seven achievement awards, including four Pinnacle awards.

The hardcover memorial book was conceived by a North Carolina State Senator as a pictorial tribute to his late wife. Controlling color was a special challenge to Copresco's production staff due to the large number of photos to be reproduced from decades-old family snapshots. Digital printing was the economical imperative for the short-run job of just 25 copies.

Economies were also obtained for the conference piece by combining offset-printed color covers and tab dividers with digitally-printed one-color bodies.

Digital printing provided the government agency with a document that presents constituent neighborhoods in the most appealing atmosphere.

Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications, books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade, technical and institutional fields. The firm is headquartered in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Joanne Rock, interim PII president, presents a Pinnacle Achievement in Print Excellence award to Steve Johnson.
