Copresco has won two awards for
exceptional technical publications from the Society for Technical
Communication, Chicago chapter.
The digital printer received an
Excellence Award for "Understanding Paper Weights," a TechTopics bulletin that
sheds light on the complex subject of printing paper basis weights.
Avoiding On-Demand Paper Pitfalls, an article which
appeared in American Printer magazine, was also honored with
an Excellence Award. The article, written by Copresco
president Steve Johnson,
discussed factors affecting paper quality in a digital printing environment.
Competition judges were impressed with the effective presentation of
the complex technical paper weights subject. TechTopics was cited as a
"great concept and imaginative way to interact with customers." The printing
trade magazine article was judged as a "sharp, informative and well-crafted
handling of a technical subject for an expert audience."
Entries are
judged on writing, graphics, copy editing and content.
The Society for Technical
Communication is an international organization dedicated to the advancing
the arts and sciences of technical communication.
