Copies Overnight has received a
Premier Print Award from the Printing Industries of America.
The
Carol Stream,
Ill. firm won the award in the black and white digital printing category
for producing a printing equipment repair catalog. The awards program is known
throughout the graphic arts industry as the most prestigious competition
honoring excellence in print.
The Certificate of Merit is the third PIA
award Copies Overnight has received in as many years. In
1996, the firm received a
"Benny" in the black and white digital printing category for a 168-page case
bound book. Last year, the
company received a Certificate of Merit in the black and highlight color
digital printing category for producing a financial manual.
"We
appreciate the continuing recognition from our peers in the graphic arts
industry," says company president Steve Johnson. "These
awards are the result of the commitment to quality we maintain for all of our
customers."
The repair catalog, which contains 24 pages of text,
graphics and halftones, was imaged on a
Docutech 6180. Completed
four-page signatures were collated and saddle bound using printed covers
furnished by the customer.
Copies Overnight specializes in on-demand
printing and distribution of looseleaf and bound technical documents for
general business, printing trade, technical and institutional clients. The
firm's digital printing plant and distribution center are located in Carol
Stream, Ill.
