Versatile Digital Color Press Installed

Copresco has installed a Docucolor 2060 digital color press at its Carol Stream, Ill. plant.

“The 2060’s color quality, ease of setup and production speed were key factors in meeting our demands for fast, cost-effective digital color jobs,” says president Steve Johnson.

The versatile Docucolor 2060 can print two-sided color signatures and run full bleed for up to 11” x 17” jobs. Paper stock capabilities range from 45# offset to 110# index.

Copresco projects include publications, books and manuals. sales pieces, training materials and overhead transparencies.

Like all of its five Docutechs, the new digital color press is linked to Copresco’s PC and Macintosh workstations through a digital network. This provides seamless digital workflow opportunities. Documents are printed from electronic files received over the Internet, through an FTP site or on CDs and removable media.

A color survey of 1400 graphic arts professionals played a key role in the selection of the Docucolor 2060. By a two-to-one margin, survey respondents voted for the 2060 as the digital press rendering the best quality—compared to an Indigo E-Print Pro Plus.

Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications, books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade, technical and institutional fields.
